I employed electric beaters to mix up my cake mix and pumpkin and also added a small over 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to the mix. This combination functions best with like flavors, but not the exact same flavor such as a strawberry pie filling with a strawberry cake mix or a lemon pie filling with a lemon cake (it tastes like lemon pledge). Also- I use generic cream cheese or whatever’s on sale & the whipped appears to make the frosting lighter & much less time consuming than carrying out it myself.
