Mix crumbs, sugar, butter and milk and press onto the bottom of a 26-cm spring form pan. Anytime I get married, my groom’s cake (yeah… in Texas, we have a cake for the guy) will be a carrot cake. Made this for easter for my household as an 11” layer cake – I just used 1.five instances the quantity of batter and frosting and it worked fine. For what it is worth, I applied only 1 cup of oil added half a can of drained shredded pineapple and made the cream cheese frosting w/ maple syrup. I am just not telling them that they are carrot cakes although cos they in all probability wont consume them if I do, LOL! My son’s roommate declined cake at first but said yes to a teeny slice to be polite when I pressed.

Sweet strawberries are delicious with this coconut cake frosted with a light cream cheese frosting. Immediately after I baked it and trimmed the tops, it was moist and soft (and delish), but following refrigerating the cake portions overnight, the cake was dense (but nevertheless delish). This is a great base cake for a lot of diverse flavors, and certainly my new go to! I loved them, my children loved them, and all of my coconut cake-addicted friends loved them.
